The main purpose of the program is; To train technicians who have the basic knowledge and skills needed by the sector where rubber and plastic products, whose usage areas are increasing day by day, will contribute to the identification or solution of problems that will be encountered in the sector. Our students will graduate with 122 ECTS credits at the end of 2 years. Courses are given as theoretical, practical, compulsory and elective. Our Rubber and Plastic Technicians, who have a very wide field of work, have the opportunity to make a vertical transfer to Chemical Engineering, Chemical and Manufacturing Engineering undergraduate programs with the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) held by ÖSYM, after completing 2 years, if they want to continue their career opportunities. The laboratory conditions provided to students within the scope of our program help them turn the theoretical knowledge they have learned in classes into practice. In addition, thanks to technical visits to factories at regular intervals, they are exposed to the application areas of the program. Especially in the factories located in the Duzce region, officials come from time to time to give seminars to the students of the tire and plastic technology program and even to give lectures in certain periods for some courses. In this way, bringing together students with people who work and have experience in the sector changes the students perspective on the profession and the sector. Thanks to the knowledge, skills and experience gained by our students within the scope of the Polymer Technology Program, they have the opportunity to work in all factories in the Düzce region. In addition to being created by the students themselves, these opportunities are also provided in line with the tire and plastic technology program and contracts made with factories on the university basis. In accordance with the agreements made with the factories, our students benefit from scholarship and internship opportunities during their education process. In addition, our students who successfully complete their education processes can easily find jobs in factories in accordance with the contracts.
